Keri Uejo Marchand is a California and Hawaii state-licensed Acupuncturist, and a national board-certified Diplomat of Oriental Medicine. She earned her Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Emperor's College, graduating summa cum laude. She has worked in both the clinical and business aspects of wellness for over 15 years, combining food medicine and movement therapy, with more subtle forms of treatment such as sound, essential oils and hands-on healing. She holds additional certifications in cancer rehabilitation exercise from the University of Northern Colorado CRI, fitness training from UCLA Extension, Yoga and Reiki.
Keri's clinical practice integrates classical principles of Chinese medicine, modern science of functional physiology, and European traditions in holistic medicine. Her patient profiles are diverse, yet often have common threads in stress-induced symptomology. Her treatments enhance mind-body awareness, which allows release of tension and visceral disharmony, and restoration of internal alignment for a greater sense of well-being.
In 2001, after 15 years in corporate business development, Keri chose to pursue a new direction and began teaching therapeutic exercise and yoga to women living with a previous cancer diagnosis. These beautiful women continue to inspire her today. She found herself traveling to explore other cultural healing modalities, and eventually began a one-year program in New York City on essential oils in Classical Chinese Medicine that laid the foundation and vision for her journey as a clinician.
Ultimately, Keri envisions a medicine where we cultivate the innate healer within all of us, where the wisdom of healing is unique and profound for every human being, and the possibilities are infinite.
